Our hearts are inconsolable at this sudden loss. Words are incapable of expressing the grief in my heart for the family. May Christy’s loving and giving spirit live on through Fred, Ella, and all who had the privilege to love her.
Condolences for Christina “Christy” Saltstein (Roth)

I am so grateful to have known Christy’s infectious laugh and amazing smile for so many years. No words can express what a treasure the world has lost. The world is a better place because Christy was part of it. Love you Christy....forever.
Doug, I am so saddened by this news. Both you and Christy were nothing but warm and welcoming to me when I worked at the windmill club.
She was a great mom and wife. I will always remember her big bright smile and that laugh of hers. My prayers and condolences goes out to you and The rest of the family.
I had only just met Christy ... through her new connection to The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry. Her intelligence, energy, compassion, and spirit were obvious from our very first conversation. Our hearts are aching from such an unexpected loss, much much too soon. Deepest condolences to all who knew her ... to know her was certainly to love her.
I am so saddened to hear of this tragic loss. I knew Christy in high school and always remember her as such a sweet, charismatic person. My thoughts are with her family.
I was one of the team from Wisconsin that traveled and worked with Christy and Fred building houses in LaGuama, Dominican Republic last summer. I am so sorry to hear of her sudden loss and pray for the whole family in this time of shock and grief. Christy was an amazing part of our team in LaGuama, so positive about the work we were doing, so hard-working, and so helpful and calm in dealing with the inevitable stumbles of a group of 20 American volunteers living and working together in an unfamiliar country. I only knew her for two weeks but she made an indelible impression.
In sympathy,
Ann Heidkamp
Doug,
My heart broke for you when you told me about Christy passing. Even though I never met her in person, your love for her shined through in every conversation. I knew what an amazing woman, wife, and mother she was to all of you through your loving words.
I am here for you whenever you need a friend to cry to, to yell at the injustice of all of this, to drink a toast, or share a joke for a bit of laughter. You have a strong community around you who love you, lean on us.
Warmly,
Jane
Doug, I am so sorry for your family's loss. We will be praying for you and your family. If you need anything, please call. DAVE
From the first time I spoke with Christy a few short months ago, her warmth, intelligence and caring spirit were evident to me. I worked with her too briefly at The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry. She was a delightful colleague and a new-found friend, and my heart breaks for her family and all who were blessed to have Christy in their life. My deepest condolences.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Praying for you and your family.
All the best to you.
I only knew Christy for one week, but it was a very eventful week. Last year I met Christy and Fred in the Dominican Republic when they joined our church group. We all worked to build a house and paint several other houses in the village of La Guama. I was struck by the love that Christy had for her son Fred, as well as for the people that we were helping in the Dominican Republic. I was shocked to hear of her passing. I am sending my thoughts and prayers to Fred and the rest of the family.
Fred & Ella & family-
I am so sorry for your loss. Just from knowing both of you, I knew how incredible your mom must be - and the few times I was lucky enough to see her, she radiated the same warmth and spirit I see in both of you. You are in my thoughts and my heart.

We are deeply saddened by your loss. Christy was sweet and caring pers
on and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May God be with her family and the Roth and Schott familes. Love and prayers, the Schramm Family
We were so completely saddened to have heard this news... my heart aches... We send our love to Doug and the kids and all of Christy's friends and family. Using Doug's car, Christy taught me how to drive a stick shift right before we moved to Italy, so that I would be prepared! It was the best time and nothing was damaged. (Thank goodness.) We have had great fun skiing and generally enjoying Armonk life with you all and always wish(ed) we could spend even more time with you. Love, Kristin, Josh, Katherine, Olivia and Georgia
It is Sunday morning, and once again I wake up thinking about you, Doug and the kids, trying to wrap my brain around this tremendous loss. Christie made this world a better place. Her giving spirit was contagious. Anyone who knew Christie has only kind things to say about her. She was a light. I always marveled at how effortlessly she could take on anything and get it done! With a smile and a laugh all the while. Oh how I loved working with Christie. I will never forget her. We should all strive to live life as she did. "What good shall I do this day?" is what I imagine Christie asking herself every morning. This community, and everywhere she gave of herself, are better for having her time and efforts. She will not be forgotten.
To the Saltstein and Roth Families,
Words cannot start to express how sorry I am to hear about your loss. My the Lord watch over you and bring you peace during this difficult time.
I knew Christy so many years ago in middle school—good old Perry Hall. I remember laughing so hard with her once that I literally fell onto the floor. Her passing just breaks my heart.
Doug, Freddie, & Ella: Our sincere condolences from the Levy Family. May her memory be a blessing. Too young. We are here to help you guys in any way we can.
I remember meeting Christy for the first time in Princeton. Her smile was contagious, and she had a kindness about her that was unique. I had the good fortune to go on a ski trip with Christy and Doug out west. Very fun-loving and good natured soul. Doug hit the jackpot! Even though we hadn't been in touch much in recent years, she had a grace about her that was memorable. When I heard the news, my heart went out to Doug, Fred, Ella, and the entire family. My hope is that in time you may find peace and solace. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dear Doug, Fred, and Ella,
You don’t know me and we have never met, but I feel like I know you all so well. Christy talked about you all with so much love and joy at the office. She was a wonderful coworker and friend. I am so so sorry for your loss.
Love,
Jeanine (former Bridges employee)

I met Christy in 2005 when we both worked for Hyatt Hotels. Quickly we became very good friends; I cared for Fred when he was 6 months old and beyond & journeyed with Doug and Christy when Ella was born. Friends, colleagues for 20 years, she was at my wedding and we shared oh so many laughs, meals, memories and moments! My heart broke when I heard she was gone. No joke. We lost one of the best souls out there and I will miss her dearly everyday of my living life. Geoff and I can only offer our deepest condolences to Doug, Fred and Ella and her entire family and we pray that you find peace in knowing she was absolutely awesome and will always be by your side and our side. The memories I shared will Christy will always be remembered in her efforts, her friendships, her family, her life. God Bless you Doug, Fred and Ella. Many hugs to you all from Geoff, me and Leah.
