Condolences for Richard M. Slovich

Deborah YakscoeTuesday, May 26th

Good morning,

I would like to take the time to express my deepest sympathies to Rich's family. I have known Rich for most if not all of his career here at Merck. He was such a kind soul! He ALWAYS took the time to thank me for doing the work of the Union. We worked out of the same building so I ran into him every day in the last 4 years!! He always made me feel good about the work I do!! What a kind hearted man! God bless all of you who loved him! Please know that his Union family also loved him!! Saying prayers asking for comfort for the Slovich family!

I worked with Rich at Merck for 15years. Such a wonderful person. He was the best Millwright and took pride in his work. We always stayed in touch and would have lunch frequently. I will miss those talks. He truly cared about his work, family and friends. Will truly miss him.

Chris O'DonnellTuesday, May 26th

My deepest sympathies to Rich's family. Rich was a great mechanic and a wonderful person. He would always take the time to discuss work issues and come up with creative solutions. He was kind hearted and had a true connection with people he worked with. He will be missed.

Rich was a man who everyone looked up to for answers or a good story. He was well respected by everyone who knew him. Rich was quick on his feet with solutions and a quick joke. He was always talking about his family and how he was a proud union member of USW. Besides being a outstanding Millwright Rich was a true and genuine person. He will be missed.

CHRIS DEMARCHIWednesday, May 27th

I meet Rich when I started at Merck. He took me under his wing showed me the ropes. In time we grew to be friends not just coworkers. Rich had one of the biggest hearts I have ever encountered. He would always be there if you needed anything even the shirt off his back. He spoke often about his family he was a devoted father, husband and friend .
I will miss him dearly I will always feel fortunate that I knew Rich. The world is a sadder place with out him.
My deepest condolences go out to his family.
Chris

I became friends with Rich in 3rd grade. As everyone knows once you became a friend of Rich you were friends for life. Rich was a kind person and always had a smile. Struggling to believe he is no longer here however he will always be with us and never forgotten. He shaped all of us positively who came in contact with him. I’ll miss you Richie.

Rich was a great example of who I wanted to be as a crafts person, a friend and a father. He had a way of shedding a positive light on negative situations. It seemed like whenever a conversation with Rich was finished you were either belly laughing or at least smiling, he had that way about him. I know he left us better people than we were before knowing him. He always spoke of his children and family with a lot of pride as any proud father would. I remember many years ago, Rich took the time to teach my son Marc how to fish this sweet spot in Levittown Lake, that's just who he was, willing to help a younger person out. Rich you will be terribly missed. RIP my friend.

So very sorry to hear this very sad news and we send our deepest sympathy to Rich's family and many friends. We'll always remember Rich as a happy and kind young man who shared many fun experiences growing up in the halcyon years of young Levittown, PA.

I am praying for the Slovich and Scanlin
families.
Richard and I go back forever; I wish I could see both families; the Slovich family is like my own family.
The last time I saw Rich, we had lunch and talked and laughed like children. That’s the way I want to remember him. My sincere condolence to all the family; I am praying for all of you guys.

It is with great sadness that I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Rich's family. Rich and I worked together at Merck for quite a few years. He truly was a kind and sincere person. A true family man at heart. He will be missed by many.

Rich, last Wednesday Gary Egan and I were fishing down at the lake and wondered where you were this year. We know how you like to fish down the Levittown Lake. Marie, our sincere condolences. We're thinking about you. - Joe and Lynn

He did such great work, a talented and creative problem solver, and above all so kind-hearted. I'm lucky to have known him, and will miss him. Praying that his family will find peace and continue to feel his love.

Marie and family, Les and I were so sorry to hear about Rich. We always knew him as a kind and friendly neighbor. He was one of the “good guys” and will be sorely missed!

I only knew Richie for a few years! I met him in the locker room when we were both shaving at the end of our shift at work!
He always had a smile and a joke or a story to make me laugh! He would always ask about my dating life since divorce and we would joke about how crazy today's times! Plus some very funny guy locker room talk!
He told me about his son that passed also! Even though I only knew him a short time he will always be a good friend! My heart is broken for his family and that I will never get to joke around with him in the locker room!
I will miss him and god speed one of the good guys!

Bernadette McBrideTuesday, July 28th

Dear Marie, I just learned from Lauren Humphries of your husband's tragic death. I'm so very sorry to hear this, and I know, of course, you've been through this kind of loss before when you and Rich lost your beautiful son, Mark. Though Lauren noted that you said you're doing okay, and I realize it's been several months, my having found out just now compels me to send my deepest condolences to you and your family. I've thought of you often since you retired from Bucks, and please know you will al remain in my prayers for continued peace. Sending blessings, Bernadette
