Daniel Hoffman
Daniel Hoffman died peacefully in his home on Tuesday May 3, 2022 at the age 47.
Born in Meadowbrook, he was the beloved son of the late Helene McCaffrey and William M. Hoffman, and his fiancé Gail Buma, and brother of the late William Hoffman.
“Dan” as he was known, was a resident of Burlington Township, NJ for many years. He was a graduate of Burlington Township High School, class of 1993. Dan had a passion for cooking and received his professional training from Walnut Hill College of Culinary Arts, Philadelphia.
Dan lived in both Bucks and Montgomery counties and used his skills working for several restaurants throughout the area including his most prestigious role as executive chef of Villaggio Cucina in New Hope, PA. His passion for making people happy merged with his love of food fueled his creativity throughout his career. Dan loved cooking almost as much as he loved animals. His affinity for animals began with his first dog Marley, a Great Dane weighing almost as much as him.
Dan was an avid Philadelphia sports fan with the Eagles and Phillies on the top of his list. He also enjoyed playing Soccer and Tennis in his younger years. As a kid, he was always smiling and making people laugh. His pranks were a constant source of entertainment for everyone around him. He will always be remembered by his infectious laugh and outgoing personality.
God blessed him with a beautiful son, Xander, and Dan and Xander made the perfect team. They enjoyed trips to the aquarium and to the park, playing Xbox, and Xander’s favorite- the snowball game. His loving and supportive family will miss him and be forever changed by his absence.
Dan is survived by his son Xander, Xander’s mother Lauren, and two sisters: Kathy Jaffe and Amy Haines. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Jake, Olivia, Madison and Max and several Aunts and Uncles.
