Dr. Andrew Spiteri

Andrew Spiteri, age 56, of Holland passed away Sunday, August 15th, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

Andy was born in New York, New York on April 12, 1965 to Felix and Iris Spiteri and grew up in Queens, NY. He was a 1982 graduate of NYC's Stuyvesant High School. Andy went on to attend Binghamton University where he graduated with a BS in Biology in 1986. Following graduation, he attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1990. He then attended the Yale University School of Medicine where he received his Residency in Anesthesiology. He was the beloved husband of Norma Bertocchi Spiteri for 30 years. They lived in Holland, PA since 1998 where they raised their two children, Tom and Donna.

Andy's greatest joy was being a father to his children and husband to his wife Norma. He especially loved attending concerts and traveling with his wife. He also loved supporting his children's involvement in soccer, volleyball, baseball, and football. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and following his favorite teams: the NY Mets, NY Rangers, NY Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. Andy was also very active in fantasy football and baseball, playing in some leagues for multiple decades with his friends and brothers. Recently, Andy became a contributor to the fantasy sports site Fantasy Alarm, where he wrote articles covering football and baseball. He appeared as a guest on their podcasts and satellite radio show. Andy also loved to travel with his family and friends and to spend time with them in Ocean City, NJ where he especially enjoyed going on jet ski rides through the bay.

In addition to his loving wife, children, and parents Andrew is survived by his brothers Paul Spiteri and Michael Spiteri, Michael's fiancé Diana Bosnjak, and his mother-in-law Norma Bertocchi. He is also survived by his loving nephews Michael Spiteri, Robert Spiteri, Matthew Spiteri, and loving nieces Brittany Spiteri and Mia Spiteri.
