Antoinette M. Phelan (Forte)

Antoinette “Toni” Marie Phelan was born on December 22, 1953 in Jamaica, NY to Ignatius and Marie Forte.

She married her husband, Edward “Eddie” Phelan, in 1974. From there, they grew their family together with their five children.

In life, she was known for her easy going personality and crafty capabilities -- whether helping with decorations for an event or making a quilt for a loved one. She was well known in Newtown Borough, having spent 25+ years working as a receptionist on State Street. Toni more recently worked at the First National Bank of Newtown, New Hope-Solebury branch, as a bank teller, where she truly enjoyed brightening the lives of the people and dogs she encountered.

On June 4, 2021, she left this world knowing that she was loved, surrounded by her husband, children, and mother.

Toni is survived by her husband, Eddie, and children Gregory and Debra (nee Oliver), Timothy and Jessica (nee Seamans), Matthew and Jacqueline (nee Ventriglia), Cara and her fiancé Barry McIntyre, and Christopher. She is a loving grandmother to Olivia, Jenna, Jason, Emily, Lucas, Erin, and Benjamin. She is also survived by her mother, Marie, and brothers, Michael and Edward, and preceded in death by her father, Ignatius.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00pm followed by a brief memorial service at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III. Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd, Richboro, PA 18954. Her interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, at https://sidneykimmelcancercenter.jeffersonhealth.org/giving.html, and/or the Bucks County SPCA, at https://www.bcspca.org/support/donate-online.
