Sonja A. Rozolis (Flack)
Sonja Anita (nee Flack) Rozolis, 84, of Holland, PA, formerly of Staten Island, New York and Sarasota, FL, passed away on March 17, 2020.
Sonja was born on February 7, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Tonnes Olaf Flack and Alice (nee Fjeldal) Flack. She called Twining Village her home for the past five years. Sonja is survived by her sons, John (Kay) of Langhorne, PA, and Keith (Linda) of Cary, IL; her grandchildren Christine (James) Fairlie, Stephanie (Joshua) Knauss, John, Alexandra (Jude) Baldo, Erik, Michelle and Christian; and three great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Lewis, and her parents. She was a career woman before the term was popular, working in New York City for almost forty years. She touched everyone that she met, was a loyal and trusted friend, and especially loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, crocheting, and taking care of “Lew”. She enjoyed “alone” trips with her grandchildren, where she could spoil them without any parental intervention, and was a first-class host when entertaining friends and family. She enjoyed adventure and travel, playing cards, mahjong, and talking on the phone with her sons. She will be remembered for all the love that she shared.
A private service will be held at The Lutheran Church of God’s Love in Newtown, Pa. She will be interred with her husband in Sarasota National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lutheran World Relief at. www.lwr.org
