I will forever miss Jim and his lively spirit. He was always on my case since he bought a Raffle ticket from me each year, for the St. Bede's festival, but never won 😊. I will continue to buy #317 ticket every year, in his memory. When he wins, I will donate the money to Kris Ingle, for her use for the Outreach Program.

A great guy and not a bad pinochle player. His company was always a positive and time along with his sense of humor.

Today started off as a good day that turned sour when I opened the on line morning newspaper. Jimmy’s obituary stunned me and brought back a flood of memories of the good times we shared both in High School and as the EGAN CONTINGENT at the old A&P grocery store I remember the good times we shared at Mr and Mrs Raab’s house and the times we visited Mr Fitzgerald’s bike shop to fix one of our primary transportation vehicles. We met frequently at our house with my Mom cooking dinner and somewhere in the basement I think I still have the reel to reel tape of the A&P Egan boys singing California Dreaming….so innocent and so long ago.
Jimmy was always a class act and always the life of the party with his great laugh and penchant for organizing us. Kathy was my wedding partner in my cousins Mary wedding and little did I know then that her first cousin Bette would later become my wife.
We always looked forward to the Fitzgerald newsletter whether it was the Christmas or Valentine’s Day edition because it reinforces what a great family Jim and Kathy produced and the pride they shared in their children’s and grandchildren’s love and accomplishments.
I am thankful for the memories of Jim and our childhood.

LISA WALSHSaturday, October 26th

Kathy and Fitzgerald family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed seeing you and Jim at Kathy and Bill's gatherings. Always a happy couple to talk to. My kids still enjoy the Chocolate Cake in a Bowl (not what recipe was called). I think of you often when I go by Nazareth Academy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love always, Lisa Walsh and family
