Rest in peace to Tom or Philly as I knew him by. We didn't know each other for long but he was always such a good guy to be around. He was a kind and loving soul with a wicked dark sense of humour. We will miss you and that laugh. Love from your pal from the Isle of Boys(Ireland) Nate aka Tor

There are no words for this and I’m just so heartbroken. Tommy- you always made me laugh and smile. Some things I will remember are chicken fights in the pool, singing to the Black crows, IPA’s, Ladybird and your laugh. You were one of a kind and may you rest in peace.

Tom was my brother. I have never met someone like him and he has become the bar or measure for friendship as I move forward.

He loved his family so much. Im devastated and words can’t express how much this has changed our lives.

I worked with Tom at Penn for four years, we were together all day, everyday. accomplishing things we didn’t think were possible. We fought through the hard times together and always laughed after. Tom is the one who motivated me to get the same masters after he completed it. He was one of the few people I have ever met who can be so smart, so motivated, yet have his amazing personality . We have continued to stay in touch and will miss my good friend everyday. He was one of kind and I know one day we will meet and laugh at the terrible jokes together again. Love you buddy.

I miss your quirky jokes and heartfelt laughter, our little adventures and shenanigans. You've made a profound impact on everyone's lives, and the world will not be the same without you. Miss you buddy.

Rest easy & god bless.

Uncle Chris and Aunt Debbie, I can’t imagine what you’re going through. I will remember Tom as my “little cousin” who grew up to be the fun, interesting guy who was the heart of the family Rose-apalooza celebrations (Ladybird at his side). Wishing you strength.

Tom was extremely clever, intellectually curious, and constantly took on roles of resident expert to share knowledge and teach his colleagues.
He appeared in his element in the surgical fraternity, in the trenches with his brothers-in-scrubs.
I enjoyed his uninhibited sense of humor and eclectic personality. He was a memorable colleague and human being.
May his memory be a blessing to his family and loved ones.
