Mike Boyne was my friend. He was a Union Activist with our Local, Local #7048, the Philadelphia Bulk Mail Center Local. Mike was always willing to lend a hand in any project we undertook. He held many positions in the Local over the years and excelled at every one.

I always sought his counsel when I was Local President, as he was the voice of reason and usually spot on with his opinion. I recall we were in Minneapolis for a conference when I first learned that I had won a regional election as a National Business Agent and Mike and I partied like rock stars that night, something we both talked about for years.
Mike was always quick to greet everyone with his ready smile and I will always remember his infectious laugh, which was ever present.

We golfed occasionally and I enjoyed playing with Mike as we are both duffers, OK, he was better than me but neither of us was destined for the senior pro tour. LOL

I will surely miss Mike and his big personality. Rest in Peace, my Brother.

Worked with Mike over 30 years and got to be good friends with him. Always respected him for his union work where he stood out from others as a man of integrity. Sorely lacking today. Always remember the Funtime lunches together!

I am deeply sorry for your loss, Mike was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. A great union man, and was always willing to give advice. I was fortunate enough to go golfing with Mike a number of times and really appreciated his humor on the course. I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. I know his family met the world to him.

Praying for Mike's wife and family. Mike always brought joy to work. I'll always remember him and his daughters keeping score for our BMC league at Parkwood. May the Lord bring you peace and wonderful memories.

I met Mike many years ago after I was hired at the Philly BMC. We got to know each other more when we got involved with the APWU. Mike was one of the smartest people I know. Getting his opinion on many issues was paramount as you knew Mike would be honest and his reply would be well thought out. He was instrumental in so many issues with the Union, truthfully would be too much to write. But I appreciated all the work he did for the members, as that was Mike’s top priority.

I was fortunate to spend some time with
Mike at a Phillies game last year catching up and enjoying the Phillies as Mike was a big fan.

Mike made a difference in the Union serving the membership in many different capacities. He was community driven with his work in the Parkwood youth organization sharing some of his great work.
Our condolences to Diane and Jamie and Jess and the entire family as the world lost a Great Man, Rest in Peace.
