Stanley W. Cassel
Stanley W. Cassel of Chalfont, PA died peacefully on Thursday, July 26 at the Birches at Arbor Square in Harleysville surrounded by his loving and adoring family.
He was the beloved husband of Theresa B. DiCrecchio Cassel, and the father of the late Karen T. Cassel.
Born in Chalfont, Stanley was the son of the late Samuel G. and Ida I. Crouthmel Cassel.
Mr. Cassel was a lifelong resident of Chalfont who proudly served his country in the Army prior to the Korean Conflict. Stanley owned and operated Stan Cassel Green Houses Inc. for over 50 years. In his leisure, he enjoyed travelling and creating everlasting memories with his children, grand children, and great grandchildren. Stanley will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love him and appreciate his talent for making the world a greener place one plant at a time.
In addition to his beloved wife Theresa, Stanley is survived by his 2 loving daughters; Ida Jean Hatter and her husband Michael of Sellersville and Stacie Joy Hoffman and her husband Michael of Perkasie. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Tina Gane, Alison McDonald, and Michael and Thomas Hoffman, and his 3 great grandchildren Madison, Katie, and Ashley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 10:00AM until his words of remembrance 11:30AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (Route 202 and Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
