Joanne "Jana" M. Detrick (Maio)

Joanne M. Detrick (“Jana”), age 64, of Holland, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Edwin J. Detrick. Born March 21, 1960 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Josephine (Amenta) Maio and the late Albert Maio.

Jana will be remembered for her endless love and dedication to her family. A devoted mother, wife and friend, she found joy in scrapbooking, vacationing with her family in Ocean City, MD, and spending time at Disney. Her kindness and humor left a lasting impression on all who knew her, and her warmth, wisdom, and love were the foundation of her family.

In addition to her personal passions, Jana dedicated her career to the field of accounting. She earned her CPA certification and went on to inspire countless students as an accounting professor at Philadelphia University, where she was known for her sharp intellect and commitment to excellence.

Along with her husband, Edwin, Jana is survived by her two children, Laura Bell (Derek) and Bradford Detrick; a grandson, Brian; brother Albert Maio (Lynn); and many nieces and nephews.
