Joseph Patrick Salcito

Joseph Patrick Salcito of Newtown, PA died peacefully with his wife by his side on Saturday, November 16, 2024.  He was 79.

He was the beloved husband of 37 years to Judy Anderson Salcito.  Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Patsy and Philomena Lupo Salcito.  Joseph was a graduate of Rutgers University-Newark and a proud Veteran of the United States Army.

Joe was blessed with many talents and related hobbies.  He was a terrific woodworker and custom furniture maker.  Many of his furniture pieces are displayed in the homes of family and friends to this day. He also had the “golf bug” for much of his adult life.  Although this passion sometimes resulted in a house full of golf improvement gadgets, it always made for lots of laughs and good times out on the golf course.  Joe also had a passion for cars.  His garage was known to have a few toys in there which were in constant rotation.

Joe’s real passion in life was his time spent with friends and family.  He and Judy frequently travelled with friends.  A trip to Aruba was always on the horizon!  He also cherished the holiday season and mastered the art of hosting the perfect Thanksgiving.

Joe was a man’s man with the perfect soft touch.  He loved his dog, the occasional cigar, the perfect martini, and a timeless Doo-Wop song.  He will be greatly missed and eternally loved by everyone who had the pleasure to have known him.

In addition to his loving wife Judy, Joseph is survived by his brothers Louis Salcito and his wife Carol and Patrick Salcito and his wife Janice.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Joseph’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 11:00am until his Funeral Service 12:30PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.  His interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
