George Ball
George Leslie Ball of Warminster, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was 75. George was the beloved husband of 48 years to Elaine Anne Rotchford Ball.
Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late George L. and Dolores Sandstrom Ball.
George was a proud Air Force Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Marple Newtown High School in 1967 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After his return from war, George entered Colorado Mountain College where he majored in photography. After graduation, George continued his passion for his work where he dedicated many years of his life to serving the country with the Department of Defense. His commitment to his country was evident in everything he did and took great pride in being part of such an important mission. Through his work, he made a lasting impact; his colleagues admired his work ethic, leadership and integrity.
George was a passionate motorcyclist and known for his love of the open road, which began during his teenage years. He spent countless hours riding and relished the freedom and adventure that came with every ride. Whether cruising on weekends with his friends, or simply enjoying a quiet ride through the countryside, he found peace and joy in the hum of the engine. George’s motorcycle was more than just a vehicle to him- it was a symbol of his spirit and zest for life. George spent many weekends teaching as a Motorcycle Safety Instructor, helping the ensure the safety of all fellow riders.
As a lifelong fan of football, George played an instrumental role leading his high school football team to many a victory. George made a lasting impact on his team, and his influence helped shape the success and camaraderie that defined his team. As a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, he could be found cheering his team on every Sunday. He was so proud to have been able to watch his team win the Super Bowl LII. George summered in Long Beach Island with his wife, where he could be found fishing or crabbing at sunrise.
In addition to his beloved wife Elaine, George is survived by his loving and devoted daughters Kathleen Ball and her husband Kevin Carroll of Warminster and Allison Angelucci and her husband Christopher of Collegeville. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Mason and Madelyn Carroll & Nico and Giovanna Angelucci. In addition, George is survived by his three siblings Alix Giannini, Diane Feldstein, and Jamie Ball.
George’s family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10:00am until his Funeral Service 11:30am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. His interment with Military Funeral Honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
