Ruth E. Miller (Smith)

Ruth E. Miller, 96 years old of Southampton passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 6th. Born in Harrisburg, PA in 1928 to the late Ray and Odessa Smith (Brownhill).

She was the quintessential Mom in every way. She led a selfless life revolved entirely around her family – husbands, children, grandchildren and the greats! She was loving, supportive, and compassionate. She was also the foot in our butt’s if any of us got sideways. And boy could she cook! We wouldn’t take our friends to restaurants, we would just bring them home to Mom. Recipes were not needed because it was all by feel and love. In short, they don’t make them much better than her.

Ruth is predeceased by her husbands, C. Douglas Sommer, Harry J. Liederbach, Donald H. Miller and her late brother Harry Smith. She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Leipziger and her husband Neil, Richard Sommer, Nancy Adams and her husband Kenton and Harry Liederbach and his wife Erin; grandchildren, Brian Sommer, Lauren Leipziger, Eileen Appleby, Jessica Monaghan, Brandon Adams, Lindsay Tressler, Jenna Kulka, Emily Funck, Jake Liederbach, Colin Liederbach, Kennedy Liederbach, Payton Liederbach and Easton Liederbach and nineteen great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, November 13th from 10:30-11:30am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro, PA. A memorial service will follow and interment will be private to the family.
