Paul T. Ramsey Jr.

Paul T. Ramsey, Jr. passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at his residence in Holland, Pennsylvania. He was 85 years old.

Born August 21, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Paul was the son of the late Paul T. Sr. and Marie L. (Miller) Ramsey. He was a graduate of Pennsbury High School, where he was captain of the football team, and, more importantly, where he met Mary (Hackett), his beloved wife of 56 years. After graduating from Drexel University with a degree in metallurgical engineering, Paul enjoyed a very successful career in the steel industry. He served as president of Coilplus in Philadelphia before starting his own company, Ramsey Metal Products, which he ran with Mary by his side until their retirement.

Paul and Mary loved to travel—whether exploring new countries together, often via river cruises, or relaxing during their annual stay in Cape May. A loyal friend, Paul enjoyed bringing people together; he was active on his high school reunion committee, served as president of the Langhorne Men's Club, and tended bar at Holland Village's Happy Hours. Other passions included playing golf, watching football, enjoying a dry brandy Manhattan (on the rocks, with a twist), and spending time with his family. His granddaughter, Valerie, was the apple of his eye.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Mary. He is survived by his children, Donna Glerum and her husband Alan of Holland, and Brian Ramsey and his partner Dan of Philadelphia; granddaughter Valerie Spiecker and her husband Travis; Brother Clair Ramsey and his wife Barbara; nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his niece Carolyn and her wife Paige; they bonded over their weekly Zoom Yahtzee matches during Covid.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Paul’s family on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the start of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Immediately following Mass, interment will follow at Newtown Cemetery, 600 Newtown Yardley Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, or the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Boulevard, Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
