Gerald "Gerry" T. Barth

Gerald T. Barth passed away at home on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was 61 years old. Gerry was the loving husband to Susan Volko Barth for 34 years. Born April 6, 1963 in Southampton, PA, Gerry was the son of the late Edwin and Catherine Dwyer Barth.

Gerry was a skilled carpenter who paid meticulous attention to detail and poured creativity into everything he touched. From remodeling his home from top to bottom to the various projects he worked on for family and friends, there is no question that he left this world a more beautiful place. One of his last projects was building out a camper van for his daughter Erin to use on trips out West. Gerry was also a car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring his 240Z, his vintage Isuzu Trooper, and riding his motorcycle. He was also a life-long wrestling fan and loved attending matches at Pitt with sons Collin and Riley. Although Gerry had many tangible accomplishments, his greatest joy came from his family and children. He was so proud to have three college-educated, successful children and would truly do anything and everything for them.

Along with his wife Susan, Gerry is survived by his children, Collin Barth of Pittsburgh, PA, Erin Barth of Denver, CO and Riley Barth of Manayunk, PA; brother Edwin Barth (Eileen), and sisters Anne Drinkwater (Jim) and Christine Barth as well as eight nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Gerry’s family on Saturday October 19, 2024, from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 325 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in member of Gerry can be made to Pitt Wrestling at pittrtc.totalcamps.com.
