Robert Lightcap

Robert B. Lightcap Sr. died peacefully, surrounded by his family at Chandler Hall on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was 79 years old.

Bob, as he was known, was the loving husband of Ethel M. Penderghest Lightcap. The couple had known each other since the age of 12 and had shared over 60 years of love, family and marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles W II and Eugenia Untz Lightcap. He is the brother of the late Jean Miletto and Charles Lightcap III.

In addition to his wife Ethel, Bob will be missed by his children, Michele Musial and her husband James and Robert Lightcap Jr. and his wife Avecita. He is also survived by his brother and sisters-in-law, John and Kathleen Lightcap, and Susan Lightcap; four grandchildren, Allison, Bianca, Caylee Musial and Autumn Lightcap; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 22, 2024, at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 2000 Shelmire Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19152.

His interment will take place privately.
