Rosemarie "Rosie" K. Reddig (Kraus)

Rosemarie “Rosie” Reddig passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her children and friends on July 21, 2024 at the age of 83 after a 14 month battle with ovarian cancer.

Rosie, the daughter of Eugen Kraus and Hilda Altdorfer Kraus was born and raised in a small farming town in southern Germany. She came to the US at the young age of 18.

She resided in Morrisville, Pa for many years, where she raised her children.

In 1990 she married the love of her life, the late William F Reddig, who passed away in 2014. Together they lived in Ohio, Connecticut until moving back to Newtown Pa.

Rosie volunteered at the Bucks County SPCA for several years and loved taking the dogs for their daily walks. She and Bill also fostered several Collies for Collie Rescue of SEPA.

Rosie was full of energy and always on the move. She loved spending time with her family, going out with her friends, pet sitting, gardening and going to the gym. She was a genuinely kind and compassionate person and was always willing to lend an ear for listening for a shoulder to cry on.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Heidimarie Maugle and her husband David of Doylestown, her son Charles Lebegern and his partner Bonnie Abrahams of Perkasie, her sister Maria (late husband Erhard) of Germany, her two brothers: Joseph Kraus and his wife Elfrieda of Germany and Erhard Kraus and his wife Ute of Germany, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her late husband’s children; Wendy Workman and her husband John of Eugene OR and their son Ethan, Patrick Reddig and his wife Chrissy of Ephrata, Pa and their children, Elizabeth Reddig and Lilly Reddig.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9:30 until her funeral service, 11am in the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Homes, 241 East Butler Ave (at Sandy Ridge Rd) New Britian PA 18901. Her interment will be held privately.
