Dianna S. Mellace

Dianna “Diane” S. Mellace (nee Capertino), of Newtown, Pennsylvania, was born in Philadelphia on March 22, 1943. She passed away suddenly on July 9th, 2024, at the age of 81. Her loss is completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.

Diane will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Karen DiMeglio (Steven), her granddaughters Alyssa (Lenny), Nicole (Dan), and Alexandra (Andrew), as well as her six beloved great-grandchildren, Lily, Liam, DJ, Ava, Callie, and Georgia. Waiting for her at the door to Heaven was her mother, Mary, her father, Silvio, and her brother and sister, Silvio and Patricia.

A lifelong provider for those she loved, Diane worked for many years at Stanley Blacker/Allegheny Manufacturing until becoming a part of the team at Data Bank as a Production Technician, where she was a treasured colleague and friend. She enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family, watching Philadelphia and Penn State sports games, reading, gardening, and spoiling those she loved. Diane dedicated her life to caring for her daughter and grandchildren, living with them until the very end. She was an indispensable part of their lives, deeply involved in every significant moment and cherished memory. Those dear to her describe her as generous, protective, caring, funny, feisty, precious, and irreplaceable.

Diane's family will recieve friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 10:00am until her Memorial Service 12 Noon in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.  Her interment will be private.

Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound and is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who knew and loved her immeasurably. Diane always put others before herself and would greatly appreciate others continuing to give in her honor. She adored spending time with her grand dogs and cherished her memories of attending Penn State’s THON with the girls. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Penn State Dance Marathon (donate.thon.org) or any animal shelter dear to you.
