Emma J. Introna (Ianiero)

Emma J. Introna of Perkasie died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  She was 92.

Emma was the beloved wife of 69 years to Lawrence Introna.

Born in Middlesex, NJ she was the daughter of the late Liberato and Josephine Fuscoletto Ianiero.

Emma met her husband, Larry, on a blind date and married six months later.  While living in Palisades Park, NJ, they raised four children and eventually ended up closer to family and grandchildren in North Wales, PA.  Emma and Larry then spent twenty-three years in Vero Beach, FL, where they met some of their greatest of friends and enjoyed their most precious times together.  Of all the places they have lived, the common factor was that their home was open to all. Emma would never say no to company and treat others as they were her own family.

While Emma truly enjoyed the company of friends, her truest passion was her role as a mother and grandmother.  As a mother, Emma would take part and provide support in all her children’s milestones. Whether it be schooling events or extracurricular activities, Emma would celebrate their successes, encourage their interests, and offer support in their failures. As the children grew, she seamlessly transitioned herself into ‘Nanny’. Family gatherings and holiday traditions are amongst the most special memories that will forever be remembered.

Emma was light where there was darkness. Anyone that came in contact with her was captivated by her loving, selfless, and witty personality.  She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband Lawrence, Emma is survived by her loving children Anthony Introna and his wife Carol of Valencia, PA, Larry Introna, Jr. and his wife Karen of Mahwah, NJ, Lenny Introna and Diane of Yardley, PA, and Kathy Ronald and her husband Thomas of Doylestown, PA.  She is also survived by her eleven loving grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her two dear sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Emma’s family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, June 25, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901 and at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 9:30am until her Funeral Mass 10:30am. Her interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
