John M. Orobono

John M. Orobono, of Holland, PA died on Friday, July 21, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 72. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Karen Greene Orobono. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late John A. Orobono and Marie DelVescovo Orobono and brother of the late Nancy Palmo.

John attended St. Anthony’s Grade School in Chester, PA, moving onto St. James High School, class of 1968. He continued his education earning a B.S. in Food Marketing at St. Joseph’s University, class of 1972. After college, he spent 40+ years working in various capacities within supply chain management at ARAMARK in Philadelphia PA. Most recently, John served as Senior Vice President – Global Supply Chain, Procurement and GPO. Throughout his career, John’s passion for work was contagious. One of his most significant professional achievements was the profound friendships he built with coworkers, vendors and customers while supporting the company’s mission globally. He was a true ambassador for ARAMARK.

Outside of work, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in Avalon, NJ. He had a passion for all Philadelphia sports teams, cooking his Italian specialties, all the while listening to his favorite “tunes.” John enjoyed life to its fullest; most especially with his “Grands.”

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his two sons, John (Jenny) Orobono of Holland, PA, David (Christine) Orobono of Holland, PA, and his sister Patricia (James) Bostwick of Marlton, NJ. He is also survived by his 5 dear grandchildren: Anthony, Emma, Nicole, Olivia and Isabella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 12:00 pm at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. His interment will be held privately.
