Robert A. Weiss

Robert A. Weiss of Ann’s Choice and formerly of Richboro passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Rose Garden at Ann’s Choice.  He was 88.

Robert was the beloved husband of over 61 years to the late Joan C. Webster Weiss.

Born in Harrisburg, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Ann Hudak Weiss.

Bob had an incredible life filled with career, travel and family. Right out of high school he enlisted in the Navy where he served in the Korean War as a hospital corpsman.  It was during his time and while stationed at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital that he met the love of his life, Joan.  After the Navy, Bob set out to build his career and grow the family.  Always a high achiever, he was a licensed pharmacist (Philadelphia College of Pharmacy) and while working full time graduated from Drexel with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked as a subject matter expert in pharmaceutical manufacturing with several companies (W.H. Rorer, American Home Products, Warner Lambert and Pfizer), travelling the world.

Bob did not let his busy career get in the way of his family and other interests.  He loved to tackle any challenge and was quite the innovator and built things from golf clubs to computers to furniture to a house in the Pocono Mountains.  He loved to hit the links both in Pennsylvania and Florida. He loved to watch sports (golf, baseball and hockey).

He loved his family and strived to ensure that all of the comforts were provided and that the family celebrated holidays and vacations together.

His sage wisdom (after all he was almost always right!) and his quick wit to analyze and problem solve will be missed, as he was always a phone call away.

Robert is survived by his loving children, Barbara J. Patterson of Newtown, PA, Buddy Weiss and his wife, Aggie of Hatfield, PA, Joseph T. Weiss and Jeffrey D. Weiss of Philadelphia, PA.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren, Allison, Julie, Alyssa, Kevin, and Robert and his great-grandchildren, Crosby, Mason, Matthew, Howie, Nathan, Cassidy, and Makenna. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Weiss and wife Mary Beth Kigar Weiss of Mason, Ohio.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law Mark F. Patterson and daughter-in-law Dawn Weiss.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 10:00AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:30AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966.   His interment with Military Funeral Honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he generously donated throughout the decades.
