Fred H. Beckerich Jr.
Fred H. Beckerich Jr. of Lansdale, PA died peacefully surrounded by his loving children at Doylestown Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. He was 81.
Born in Hempstead, NY, Fred was the beloved husband of the late Jean Willet Beckerich.
Fred and his late wife raised their family in Willow Grove where they resided for 50 years and built lasting memories with the Forest Avenue Buffaloes.
Fred was a dedicated employee of Delaware Valley Liebert (DVL) where he was a Service Manager in the HVAC field. He retired in 2009 after 28 years of service.
Fred enjoyed woodworking in his earlier years and crafted many custom pieces of furniture for his family and friends. He was a Hot Rod enthusiast and member of the Cotton Top Cruisers. He enjoyed participating in many car shows throughout the years showcasing his trophy winning cars, “Henry” his 1940 Ford, and “Cinnamon Girl” his 1932 Chevy Victoria which he tinkered and worked on to keep in mint condition. Fred was a friend to everyone he met and only ever a phone call away from helping out someone in need of assistance in troubleshooting home repairs or maintenance and no job was too challenging for him to take on. He enjoyed reconnecting with old friends from his youth and spending time with his car buddies and former co-workers for breakfast and lunch outings but what he truly cherished were the times he spent creating memories that will last forever with his beloved children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Fred will be greatly missed, but eternally loved and remembered by everyone who was in his life and loved by him.
He is survived by his loving and devoted children; Denise Neas and her husband Jeff of Doylestown, Bonnie Greco and her husband John of Lansdale, and Todd Beckerich and his wife Aimee of Telford. In addition to his children, Fred was the proud Pop to Carrie, John, Lilah, Daphne, and Connor and GGPop to Norah.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 10:00AM until his Funeral Service 11:30AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Team Emma, 1540 Markley Road, Pennsburg PA 18073 (Fred was a loyal participant in the annual Engines for Emma car show in support of helping children and their families facing cancer).
