Helen G. Lavenberg (Jones)

Helen G. Lavenberg, longtime resident of Gloria Dei Towers in Huntingdon Valley, died at home on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.  She was 86. 

Born in Philadelphia, Helen was the daughter of the late Lester W. and Helen Allen Jones and sister of the late Marjorie Farber. 

A graduate of Bristol High School, Helen went on to lead a long career as an Executive Research Secretary for Rohm & Haas where she remained for over 30 years until her retirement in 1996. 

Helen was a founding member of the Bucks County Singers and President of the Gloria Dei Towers Residential Association for four years.  She was an avid lover of music, reading, and travel and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. 

Surviving are her children, William L. Lavenberg and his husband, Sgt. Robert David Walters of Huntingdon Valley and Leslie Folz and her husband, John, of Holland.  She also leaves behind her granddaughters, Samantha Ann Folz and her fiancé, Joseph Best of Holland and Kaitlyn Folz of Richboro. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 12:00 PM until her service at 1:30 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954.  Her interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Myasthenia Gravius Foundation of America 290 Turnpike Road, Suite 5-315, Westborough, MA 01851 or to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Rd, Ste. 150, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 or to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
