Howard L. Maguire

Howard L. Maguire of Souderton, PA died peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at his home. He was 91.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Maguire was a resident of Souderton for the past 12 years.

Howard was the beloved husband of the late Stella Sinkis Maguire, and son of the late Howard L. and Anna Dougherty Maguire.

Howard was a carpenter by profession, having worked at Municipal Hospital, Philadelphia before entering the US Army. After he was discharged he returned to the construction industry working as a carpenter until his retirement at age 62.

Howard is survived by his dear step daughters and their spouses Donna Wheeler and her husband Dennis, and Sharon A. Hoffmayer and her husband James P.   He is also survived by his brother and sister, James Maguire and his wife Joan, his sister Ann Grasmeder and her husband Bruce, his niece Lorraine Gonzales and her husband Jack. He is also survived by 8 nephews and 9 nieces; and by 7 grandchildren and by 17 great grandchildren.

He is joined in Heaven with his sisters Jacqueline and her husband Claude, Rita and her husband Jay, Florance and her husband Bernie; his nephews Eddie, Thomas, and James.   He will truly be missed !!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 9:30 am to10:45am, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00am  at  St. Maria Goretti Church 1601 Derstine Rd. Hatfield, PA.  Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
