Charles "Chuck" E. Hazen

Charles “Chuck” E. Hazen of Warminster and formerly of Southampton and Holland passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 Christ Home in Warminster. He was 89 years old.

Chuck was the beloved husband of the late Ilona Margaret Baird Hazen.

Born in Ellwood City, PA he was the son of the late John and Georgian Hazen and was the brother of the late Robert and Richard Hazen.

Chuck was a veteran of the 3rd Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He met his wife while in high school and the two married in 1953 and resided in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. They moved to Harrisburg, PA, where they started their family, and finally settled in Southampton.  He was a surveyor who worked for many years on various projects including the Pennsylvania Turnpike. He eventually worked for Nationwide Insurance as a Claims Adjustor from 1965 until his retirement in 1990. In his leisure time he enjoyed wood working, reading and writing poetry. Chuck was very family oriented and often attended his grandchildren’s events. He was an excellent story teller and gladdened the hearts and souls of all with his positive attitude and demeanor.

Chuck was a devoted and active member of The North and Southampton Reformed Church. Most of all, Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and cousin and will be dearly missed.

Chuck is survived by his children, Steven W. Hazen and his wife, Molly of Crosswicks, NJ and Pamela H.
