Patricia Rose Chapman (Graham)
Patricia Rose Chapman of Doylestown passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown in the presence of her loving family. She was 74.
Born and raised in Saint Martin of Tours Parish in Oxford Circle, Philadelphia, Pattie was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Margaret M. (Higgins) Graham. She graduated from Little Flower High School, where she was a member of the basketball team. After years as a stay-at-home mother, and while working full-time, she fulfilled a lifelong goal of earning her college degree. Pattie graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College where she received an Associate’s degree in Liberal Studies. She was a recipient of the Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship at Gwynedd-Mercy College. Pattie was a resident of Ivyland Boro for twenty-two years prior to moving to Doylestown in 2003. She had a passion for politics and enjoyed serving as an election volunteer, campaigning for candidates, and discussing current events. She also loved being near the ocean, and shared many happy memories with family in Avalon and Ocean City, NJ.
Pattie is survived by her three children: Patricia A. Chapman and her husband, David Farbaniec, of Highland, NY; Bridget M. Chapman and her husband, John Millaway, of Montclair, NJ; and her son Steven “Luke” Chapman of Doylestown. Pattie also is survived by her two sisters, Catherine Macaulay and Mary Duplinsky (James), both of Holland, PA, and her brother Joseph Graham of Philadelphia. She also is survived by her three cherished grandchildren, her granddaughter Miranda (10) and her grandsons Leif (5) and Quinn (2), and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Pattie was predeceased by her siblings: Alice Barron, Peggy Dorr, Jeanne Lambert, John Graham, and Charles Graham. Her family meant everything to her.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass at 11:00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pattie's memory may be made to the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation Scholarship at Gwynedd-Mercy College or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.
