William W. Webster, Jr.

William W. Webster, Jr. of Churchville, PA died peacefully in his home on Tuesday August 6, 2019. He was sixty-nine years old.

Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the beloved husband of Carol Ann Kershaw, devoted son of the late William W. Sr. and Mary E. Cross Webster, and son-in-law of  the late Justin A. Kershaw Jr.

Bill was a graduate of Akron High School, class of 1968; received his undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Greek in 1972 from Franklin and Marshall; and was awarded his Masters Degree in South Asian Studies in 1977 from the University of Pennsylvania.  Bill consistently used his education to help those less fortunate, teaching English and other subjects at the University of Mysore in India for several years.

Living life to the fullest, nothing was too much of a challenge for Bill. He worked in the hospitality industry for many years, and had the opportunity become a Wine buyer for several area distributors and boutique restaurants in the greater Delaware Valley.  Later in life, he received a degree in nursing, subsequently working at Pennswood Village for over five years.  Bill enjoyed quite time, reading, wood working, and, more than anything, spending time with his children.

He will be remembered for his steadiness, kindness, reliability, and gentle ways.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughter and son; Isabella F. Webster, and Isaac A. Webster, his two sisters; Lisa Webster, and Kim Webster and her husband Joseph W. Crager, also by his mother-in-law Nancy T. Kershaw.

Bill’s family will receive condolences on Saturday August 10th from 10 AM until his Memorial Service at 11AM at the North and Southampton Reformed Church 1380 Bristol Rd. Churchville, PA 18966. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Penn Memory Center, checks payable to Trustees at the University of Pennsylvania, send to Penn Medicine Development, Attn. E. Yannes 3535 Market St. Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA, 19104
