Myrtle F. Flood (Holt)

Myrtle F. Flood, of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017, at Buckingham Valley Nursing Home. She was 92.

She was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late John F. Flood. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillie Imhof Holt and mother-in-law of the late Harold J. Brown.

Myrtle was a resident of Doylestown for the past several years. She was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School, and worked for many years as a cashier at Temple University Dental School, until her retirement in 1986.  Myrtle was an avid reader and loved to do crossword puzzles. She cherished her children and her life was all about family, her children came first and foremost, but the sparkle in her eyes came from seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Myrtle is survived by her devoted children; Elizabeth M.  Bergman and her husband Wayne, Madelyn M. Brown, Mary Jo Esbensen and her husband Thomas, James X. Flood and his Fiancé Lisa Oteri and Margaret M. Bock and her husband Louis. She is also survived by her dear 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday August 30, 2017 from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Rd. Doylestown. Interment will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to K P S E F (New Jersey School for the Deaf), Care of:  Kim Arrigo VP, 8 Kirk Avenue, Ewing, NJ 08638.
