Gilda D. Furia

Gilda D. Furia (nee Calzi) of Holland PA and Naples Fl. Passed on April 17, 2024. Beloved wife of 75 years to Thomas R. Furia, Sr.

A loving mom, grandmom, and GG. A proud graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls. She attended every dance recital, and cheered from the sidelines at her many grandchildren’s events. She was a fantastic cook and baker and made every holiday just perfect. She provided vacations to Margate and Naples for her children and grandchildren so they could spend quality time with family.

Gilda was the Devoted Mother of Mary Joan Furia, Helene Hellwarth (John), Thomas R. Furia Jr, (Janine), Carolyn Iuliano (Antonio), and Lisa Furia-Cruz (Francisco). Predeceased by her siblings, Louis F. Calzi, Eleanor Calzi, Joan Lehane, and Marlene Marzullo. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, soon to be 23 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her brother-in-law Carmen Marzullo, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Jean Furia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday morning, April 25th, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will follow immediately at 11:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150. Contributions in her memory to The AJ Foundation, P.O. Box 234, Wycombe, PA 18980
