James F. Gorman

James F. Gorman passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 29, 2019. He was 85.

He was the beloved husband to Arlyne Arrighy Gorman for 33 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son to the late Francis X. and Emma W. Stehle Gorman. He was a loving brother to John Gorman, the late Frank and Joseph Gorman, and the late Jeanette Barnes.

James proudly served in the US Army and subsequently worked as a custom home builder. He was a lover of music, an avid golfer, and a practical joker. In addition, James will be remembered fondly by those closest to him as a creative person who loved to paint nature.

In addition to his wife and his beloved dog, Charlie, James is survived by his children and step-children; Sharon Best and her husband John, of Flourtown, Sean Gorman and his wife Amy of Gold Canyon, AZ, Nina Gorman of Philadelphia, Maria McGauley and her husband Jody of Decatur, GA, Vicki Boruta and her husband Michael of Southampton, Lance Huggett and his wife Gay of Reddington Shores, FL, Sherri Harris of Hudson, FL, and Kimberly Stone and her husband Michael of Huntingdon Valley. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brother Michelangelo Pio, Drew and his wife Kate and their children Luke, Paul, and Joseph, Matthew and his wife Carroll, Brother Jose Pio, David, John Jr., Mathilda, Jason and his wife Jessica and their son Carson, Anthony, Jamie, Michael, Andrew, Austin and his wife Jennifer and their son Camden, Kyle, Casey, and Luke.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. His interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
