Asha Thatte (Tambat)

Asha Thatte, of Newtown died peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

She was the beloved wife of Prabhakar Paul Thatte for 51 years.

Born in India, she was the daughter of the late Shridhar and Premala Dongersane Tambat. Asha came to the United States in the late 1970s, and had been a resident of Bucks County ever since. She spent over 25 years in Newtown, PA.

Asha loved gardening and had a passion for flowers and plants. Her first priority was her family and she truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Paul, Asha is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sangita Thatte, Anita Sood and husband Munish; her 2 brothers Shivaji Tambat, Kailash Tambat, and their wives; her sister Hemangani Deodas; and her grandchildren, Sanjna, Sonali, and Jay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Asha’s funeral service on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 3:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.Her interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Silver Lake Nature Center, 1306 Bath Road, Bristol, PA 19007.
