Our dear longtime friend and ROMBC BROTHER will be heartfully missed. You have been a sincere and devoted friend to us, many for 50 years, some 60. Somehow you have managed to meet our Lord at your final resting place on the First Thursday of the month. What a coincidence!!!! You and Chrissy and your gang will remain in our hearts.
We will forever be indebted to you for your uncompromised friendship.
We love you brother.
May you rest in the Peace of our Lord.
Hoorah to you, Bobby and Big Jer

I am terribly saddened at the loss of such a magnificent friend. He was so generous, particularly to thousands of young people who enjoyed the benefits of his support for youth athletics of all kinds. The ROMBC breakfasts were always a treat. Whenever I saw John, I could feel the warmth of his friendship and I knew we were about to enjoy the moment that we were in. I will cherish the memories and great stories I have about John.
My deepest condolences to all who loved him.

Brave Mumba - you are a legend!! There are way too many stories to tell about the fun and laughter we had with you. I know my dad and mom will be thrilled to welcome you into heaven. No doubt there’s a heck of a party going on up there. Our community is forever indebted to your service, generosity and dedication to all the sports programs available to our children. Once you put your mind to something, we knew you would accomplish it above and beyond anyone’s expectations. Our sincere condolences go out to Chrissy, Johnny, Katie, Patrick and Colin along with your siblings and extended family. You will be sadly missed by so many. Rest in Peace, John. You deserve it.

I was very saddened to read of John's passing. He was my teammate and friend Mike's older brother, and I was lucky to get to know him as a friend as well. I remember reconnecting with him some years ago when he was leading a campaign to provide lights for the CR football stadium.
I am sorry I will not be able to attend the services for John, but my thought and prayers are with the entire Donohoe family.

RIP "Mumba"

To the Donohoe family,
My deepest sympathy on the passing of John. After 40 years teaching I can honestly state that John was one of my 10 favorite students. Did he gat an "A" in psychology class? No, he did not. Did he have perfect attendance? No, he did not. John's ability was greater than an "A" or perfect attendance. His sense of humor and fun-nature made psychology fun for everyone in the class. I have seen John in the community and school many times since he graduated in 1972. He always lend a helping hand in making the community and school a better place. I will be attending his mass on Thursday and hope to see many of his former students, My love to his wife and children.
