It is with deep sympathy learning of this very sad news.
Paul and I worked together for many years directly across from one another. We both retired last November, and I was lucky enough to see Paul just a few weeks ago at another colleagues retirement party. He was so happy with how his life was going, and spoke so lovingly of his family.
I’m thankful for the few hours we spent together talking of the good times we shared, however I am extremely sad that God has requested his presence in Heaven.
May you all find solace in knowing how much he was liked and respected at our station.I pray for the Schmitt family and close relatives to remember all the fond memories to aide and comfort through these very difficult times.
May God bless you and Paul.

Paul will be sorely missed. He was a loving human being, gentleman and my Christian Brother. He always greeted me with a smile and kind words. Paul was one of a kind. I will cherish our time together and until we meet again there will be a huge void in our hearts.

Dear Pat and family:
I will always remember Paul for his passion family, friends and of course golf. I remember interviewing Paul and Pat for membership @Riverstone Church. What a joy that day to lead Pat to the Lord and see them begin the journey of worship and service with full hearts.

Paul was always available to share in a conversation and was not only sincere in his expressions but very humorous. He was someone you could make friends with quickly. I know that he would provide and protect his family and friends without question.

As a Fed Ex driver he would regularly deliver packages & pick ups at my office complex and I would run into him as I entered the building. He would always take time to greet me and give my that strong handshake and hug even though he was on the clock, showing that relationships are more important than the temporal.

My heart is heavy in this loss but rejoices in knowing that one day we will meeting again. Until then my brother....Keep it in the short grass!

Dear Pat and family,

Liz and I were deeply saddened to hear of Paul's passing. Few words can adequately express our shock and sorrow. Paul, to us, was one of those special friends that you could pick up like it was yesterday after years have passed. His easy way made him the friend he was to all of us.

He will be missed by our family and please know you, and your family, are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

God bless you all in the days ahead...

Liz and Greg

Anna von HohenSunday, December 5th

Hi, I am Paul's granddaughter Anna. I loved my grandpa very much and it was very clear that he loved me. We both loved spending time with each other and always cherished every moment that we got. I know that me and his other granddaughter, Mia Zelmanoff will miss him and always remember the times in which we were together. I will always remember the times I used to play video games with him (and always won). I will never forget him and he will always be in my heart forever. I love you so much Popeye! Anna

Pat SchmittSunday, December 5th

Forever in my heart. Loved you then, loved you now and always will.

Dear Pat and family,
I will miss my friend immensely as he would either call or text weekly (or more), he always had a story, a
laugh, a pumpkin pie and a smile. Paul was always happy to see you and take time to be with you, we
golfed together, played horseshoes, beat up on our Phillie sport teams and rejoiced in their victories.
Paul loved the Lord and people isn’t that what Jesus said to do.
Popeye Paul you have gone on to the place we all have hope to be . Love you my friend.

Dear Pat, Jaclyn, Stacey and family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Paul was a co worker and friend of mine at FedEx. We had a lot in common especially bird watching. I usually would get teased at work because of it but, it was nice Paul shared this quirky hobby with me. I'm gonna miss his cheerful attitude and of course his pumpkin pies. God bless you Paul!

I am just now finding out about this...I worked with Paul at Ford, he was great! Sometimes we butted heads but it was an honor. I had not seen him in many years and will miss him but will enjoy many good memories and wish for comfort and for the best for his family of which he was most proud. Thank you
