My deepest condolence to the entire Vergis family, Peter was my supervisor, I have only know him for a very short time, as I'm a new employee of Lilly just over 1 year. But In that time I became very honored reporting to Pete as he has directed me and advised me on many of my training, I have never seen such a dedicate and knowledgeable Individual with the drive to always to do better and improve the system. Lilly as well as all who knew him and all he touched has lost a remarkable person ...God Bless you Pete ......I will not forget you as my Friend ....

I can't believe you're gone, Pete. We have been close over the past 6 years and more so when we both accepted supervisory roles to help each other out at work. Pete was always a pleasure to work with and had the best stories. I would always make time to catch up and talk with Pete, no matter how busy it got at work, about life, family, music, and camping; I loved when he brought in the oil can guitar to play. Pete was always a hard worker, funny, and fiercely dependable. The world has lost a truly great soul and I'll always cherish our memories together. I stayed over an hour after my shift the night Hurricane Ida came just so we could talk and I will be forever grateful that I did. Rest in peace, Pete. You'll be missed down here..

Pete was the drummer in the band "Pierless", the misspelled band with our son, Scott Stern.
we enjoyed their music and their stories of their rehearsals with Pete and Jan's three sons running around and playing. The spark of love and energy that Pete brought to life will never be forgotten
