Condolences for Richard Sabol, Jr.

Michael BartkoTuesday, August 17th

Rich, you were a good man with a very cheesy sense of humor that I appreciated very much. You’re gone way too soon, my friend. If there is anything beyond this world, I hope you are at peace.

Some of my fondest memories of high school are super smart & hysterically funny conversations with Rich. Wishing great peace to all who loved him. Rest well, old friend.

Rich,
Your infectious laughter rocketed off the school walls. You often cracked yourself up! It was a privilege to know you in youth. So happy that you shared your love of life and love of history with a wonderful family. Love and prayers to your family and friends. You will be missed.
BIG HUG!! Kim

I am so sorry to hear of Rich’s passing. I didn’t know him well, but heard a lot about him from my sister, Bonnie Yerkes. I remember hearing all the stories of the days of daycare with Laurel and Heather. The fun times your families had together and was so happy to hear you guys had dinner with my sisters family before the pandemic hit.

I can’t find the words to bring you peace at this time or answer your questions why, but I can say from what I heard Rich was one of a kind person who had a lot of love for his family and friends. I am so so sorry and thinking of all of you at this very sad time. Margie Z.

I knew Rich through his wife. He was a really nice guy. Whenever Aileen wasn't home he and I would have hilarious talks on the phone. He was funny. He loved to tell jokes and puns. He was smart and history buff. I learned a lot about him by talking to him on the phone. I only met him in person a few times but I feel like I knew him well. I will miss him. I feel sorry for the family and friends. Goodbye to a super nice guy.

The sleep overs as young kids, boy scout camp at Conestoga, days spent at the cabin in Ligonier, lifting at the gym, commuting to college together, backpacking the trails and exchanging silly texts. These memories of you will go on forever. Until the next time we meet Rich. Love and prayers to your family.

I have nice memories of Rich and can still hear his laugh...in our gameroom in the Summer watching "National Lampoon's Vacation"...or being in the next room with my older brother Tim while my childhood friends and I played with our Barbies. My heart goes out to his family and everyone that knew and loved him.
