I am so sad to hear. We were teammates at VE in Warminster and then again at LaSalle Univ. She was a quiet competitor. I remember the day talking to her about her wanting to become a vet after college. My son has epilepsy and we live with the fragility of this disease daily.

I worked at AECCS with Jeanne when she first moved to Pennsylvania. I was a tech and loved working shifts with her, especially the overnight shifts. She was so dedicated to the patients, and loved what she did, even when it was hard. I remember how she used to tell clients her name was "Dr. Jeanne Gaughan, like Gone Fishin'", and how a client actually called one day and asked for Dr. "Gone Fishin'". It became a running joke she would tell and it always made her smile. And she had the most beautiful smile. And the most beautiful heart.

I never met her family, her husband, or her children, but I'm sure she was as loving and dedicated to them--and more--than she was to the injured and sick animals that she loved and cared for so much. My heart goes out to them.

Adele AverillTuesday, June 29th

Do not stand
By my grave, and weep.
I am not there,
I do not sleep—
I am the thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints in snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle, autumn rain.
As you awake with morning’s hush,
I am the swift, up-flinging rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight,
I am the day transcending night.
Do not stand
By my grave, and cry—
I am not there,
I did not die.

I did not know Jeanne Scarola personally but I knew of her through SCB. She was regarded for having great compassion for those animals she tended and their owners. Jeanne will live always through your love for her and the love of family and friends. With deepest sympathies,
Anita Kalick

Please know that you and your daughters are in my thoughts during this difficult time and I hope you can take comfort in the beautiful memories that you all share of Jeanne.

Barbara ScarolaFriday, July 9th

It has been 2 weeks from the time we received that horrible phone call. Our families gathered together in the quickest way possible to support Matthew, Danielle and Cecily. Strange enough we were all supporting one another through this great loss of our Dear Jeanne. She was an instant part of the love we all shared and we miss her terribly. May God continue to hold her in the palm of his hand and may we all find comfort in knowing through his mercy and grace that we will eventually be together one day. We love you and miss you Jeanne.

Deborah ShepherdMonday, July 12th

Jeanne was a lovely person. She was our veterinarian for my 4 dogs, and they adored her. The first day I met her, she impressed me on so many levels. Jeanne truly loved animals and it was obvious in her bedside manner. I could tell that she really loved my animals for who they were as soon as she met them. She had a great playful side to her that made my dogs feel comfortable immediately and she had a serious very capable business side that made me feel like my guys were in excellent professional hands for evaluation and treatment. She always had a smile and her laugh was infectious. She always had a good joke for me when I saw her as well. She always went out of her way for her patients and clients. I remember one time when she came in on her day off to assist in a foreign object retrieval surgery for my dog Lincoln because she cared and wanted to help. She didn't need to do that but she did and I greatly appreciated her caring nature. Lincoln loved her and I am sure he was glad she was there with him. I have felt devastated by per passing from this earth and I greatly hope that I see her again on the other side of the bridge. She was one of the best ones for sure. GOD speed my friend. Healing prayers for her family and friends.

Paula Akins-YallahTuesday, July 13th

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Scarola’s passing. Please accept my deepest condolences to her family. Dr. Scarola was my “COVID puppy’s” Vet. She was always very caring and explained everything to me. When she spayed my puppy she made me feel at ease. (I was very nervous about the procedure)
She will be missed by many.

Sarah McDonaldFriday, July 16th

My heart goes out to Dr. Scarola's daughters, husband, extended family, friends, and colleagues. I just heard of her death a few minutes ago when I ran into a former coworker of hers. I adored Dr. Scarola. She was such a beautiful person, and I will always be thankful for not only the care she showed my dog for many years, but also thankful for her kind heart. I am blessed to know that my dog provided some laughter in her life. She even videoed my boy trying to catch treats so that she could "play is back and laugh when she was having a hard day." She was a bright light in this life, and I pray that your memories eventually bring you comfort. I am so so sorry.

My deepest condolences to Jeanne’s family. I worked with Jeanne at AECCS and I always knew her to be a very sweet and kind soul who always had a smile on her face. She was the type of person who could always lift the mood of the room she was in and her jovial nature was infectious - I always enjoyed the shifts I shared with her. Even though I haven’t spoken to her in over 20 years, when I heard the news, it hurt - which is a testament to the person she was to leave a lasting impression like that in the relatively short time I knew her. I hope for strength for the family to endure this difficult time. Rest easy Jeanne.

Nancy Jodi Napoltano/ TashmanMonday, July 26th

I am shocked and saddened to hear about Jeanne's passing. I was a friend of hers in high school through playing indoor soccer at the YMCA, we became close and even attended prom together. We lost touch in college but I will never forget her beautiful smile and her kindness. I can only offer my condolences to her family. May she rest in peace and her family become closer in her absence.

Richard NemchikTuesday, November 16th

Jeanne took wonderful care of my Bloodhound Leroy while she was at ABE Vet Hospital. Jeanne's care was evident in all the extra special attention she provided for Leroy and all the encouragement she provided to me. Jeanne called with lab results at 10:30 at night with good news......she was so happy, she could not wait to give the news! When Leroy passed away, Jeanne spent 45 minutes of her time talking, explaining, and consoling. Now, as I have another Bloodhound, Arthur, whose daddy passed away in September, I wanted to have Jeanne care for him and discovered she has been called home. Apparently God wanted her with Him. Jeanne was very caring and compassionate. She was a true winner. All of these qualities were visible our encounters. She always spoke fondly of her family. Sincere sympathies to all of her family and all who knew her. Jeanne was a gem.

Bonnie MillerWednesday, May 18th

I accidentally came across Jeanne's obituary when looking up old friends from my days working at the Veterinary Specialty Center, in Delaware. We worked together and I was hoping to reconnect. (I grew up in Bucks County) I am shocked and saddened to see that she passed away. She was such a compassionate and skilled veterinarian and I learned so much from her! Even in the saddest of times in emergency veterinary medicine, she was so kind with the pet's families. She always had a smile and could lift our spirits on sad days with her wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile. I am so very sorry for your loss. ❤️
