Hi Vince,
My world is a little off with out you in it. I come to my business in your cozy shopping center, pass your home and just think how I miss you. You were steady as a rock throughout all these years. In the back of my mind, I knew everything would be ok. I appreciate you believing in me, and giving me a chance to start my business 15 years ago. You inspired me in so many ways. My father had passed a few years prior to me starting the business, but you took me under your wing, and grew to become like a second father to me.
When we spoke last week, you expressed some touching and heartfelt feelings about my family and I. How you were proud of your "favorite tenant" and how happy you were to be a part of my life all these years. Really touching, and brought tears to my eyes. In all this time we've known each other, we never had that type of conversation. I was grateful, and felt like I actually made a difference in your life too. I didn't realize it at the time, but now I think that was your way of saying goodbye. I remember how I ended our conversation by saying. "Thanks for all the kind words Vince, it means so much to me that you feel that way. I'll talk to you next week. Take care."
Take care indeed my friend, take care...
