Dear Edna and family
I am so sorry for your loss of my friend of over 40 years. I will miss his 9:00 am phone call which he did daily. I know he loved you all very deeply. You will have good memories of all your family trips and holidays.

Bill and I were so very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He certainly made a lasting impression on us. Loved our chats about our mutual love for Notre Dame. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word.He will be missed. Our love and prayers go out to Edna and the whole family.

Mr Smith was such a lovable fun guy! He treated all of us as family, no matter how annoying we could be! He made happy hours happier and you were always sure to smile in his presence and hear a story to two. I loved watching him gleam around his family. It was always fun to sit back and watch, especially with your mom. Heaven got an exceptional man. I am so so sorry for your pain.

I only knew Tom a short while through work. I could tell the passion he has for his work, family and especially his wife. He mentioned numerous times how many wonderful years he had been married. Tom was a caring gentleman. He will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family and friends.

Sincerely,
Banu Ezzi.

We have lost a wonderful and caring man in Tom Smith. His passing has left a void in my heart. We would call each other every other week. If I misssed calling him, he would call me to make sure I was OK. I called and left him a message last Friday not knowing of his passing. I am heartbroken and will always be 'calling' my friend in my prayers. We are thinking of you, Edna, and send you our love. The Connelly girls

Dear Edna and family,
There is a huge hole in my heart, Tom was so much to all of us. Not only was he my mentor for 40 years, but my joy and my best friend. He loved all you guys sooo much, all of you were our topic if conversation after our business discussions, every day. Tom's humor, his contagious enthusiasm and his character will be surely missed by all of us. Tom is out of our sight but never out of our hearts, we all loved him so.

Edna and family,
I've been at a loss for words since the news of Tom's passing. He was Mr. Smith to me. A mentor, not only in the steel business but in life. A bonus father/grandfather; someone I looked up to for advice and he never steered me wrong. He brought the best out in everyone around him, and I am certainly a better person because of him. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing your father, husband, and grandfather with me. He was truly a treasure and I will miss him dearly.
