Kathy, Harry, Jr., Megan, Matthew, Monica and Jon and your respective families,
Heartfelt sympathy to all of you. May your faith and cherished memories help you through the sadness. I have many happy memories of parties, Christmas visits, BBQ's etc. at the home on Treeline and the first home on Holland Road (and Robina Terrace, too!). He was a great host and I was lucky to be invited to a few Penn State games. Wow, did Harry know how to tailgate! Penn State themed everything and the most delicious food all cooked by Harry! I can hear Harry's wonderful, hearty laugh even now and always loved the joy that came from it. I first met Harry when I was about 8-9 years old and one of my first memories that sticks with me to this day, is how he would approach the steep decline on Holland Road as he was driving us (Feeney's maybe?) and how he would take his foot off the gas to make the car "jump" at the summit like a rollercoaster. As a kid, I thought that was so cool and to this day, I do the same thing when I leave the town of Holland after a Mercurio visit. God bless you Harry, I know you will be keeping an eye on your believed Penn State football team from your perch in Heaven. Thank you for being a great cousin and friend.
With love and prayers always,
Frank Tolkacz

Dear Kathy, Harry Jr., Megan, Matt, Monica, Jon and family,
It has been a joy to live next door to Harry for the past 23+ years. I could not ask for a better neighbor and friend. Harry would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. I couldn’t do a single favor for him without him giving back double. Harry had a love for life, a kindness and a sense of humor that is rarely seen in most people. You all embody that same love and kindness. I will miss Harry a lot and think of him often. God Bless Harry and all of you during this hard time. Remember you can lean on us, your friends and neighbors.

Dear Mercurio Family ~

We are so sad to read about the passing of your husband and Dad. Having just lost our Dad/Grandfather to COVID, we can only imagine the pain and shock you are experiencing. Although we only met Harry a few times, Kathy played such an important role in the lives of our children at St. Bede's; not only in 4th grade, but throughout their years at such a wonderful school. Please know that we will be praying for all of you as you journey though the coming days and weeks and may all of the love your Dad and husband shared with you, continue to keep you going on the roughest of days.

Debbie and I are so saddened to have just heard about Harry’s passing. Harry was a kind and decent man - we will miss seeing him working in his yard, and walking his dog Tyson. Our thoughts are with his wonderful family.

Kathy, Harry Jr., Megan, Matt, Monica and Jon and your respective families.
Please accept my deepest condolences during this difficult time. I have such fond childhood memories spending time with Harry, Kathy and the children. Harry was always kind. I will never forget the time I slipped down the steps at the house on Holland Road. I was carrying a large Christening or Communion cake! I was about 9 or 10 and clumsy as ever! Harry was so nice about it! He took me to the side and told me not be embarrassed and things like this happen to everyone! I will never forget his kindness and understanding! I had so many great times with Kathy and Harry. I enjoyed watching their beautiful family grow into wonderful adults.
Please be strong during these adverse time. Harry will be greatly missed! He was a wonderful man!
All my love,
Karla Meyer
