I want to thank my children, grandchildren and all our family &friends for all the prayers and support they have given Joe and I throughout the years. My honey fought the good fight to live. He just got too tired. We were blessed with a wonderful married life and a beautiful family. I was proud and lucky to be Mrs. Joseph Conrad Long. He was a truly loving man and I thank Our Lord above for the many years he gave us together! He holds a piece of my heart and I know someday I will feel his spirit again. Let me here from all of you about times you spent with him. And when 5:00 comes sip your water, your spirits and know that he is joining you from heaven above. Much love , good health and happiness is wished for all. ❤️Mom, Grandmom, & Mare
Condolences for Joseph Conrad Long, Sr.
Joe was great guy. He was funny and he was a wonderful husband loving father and grandfather. He will be missed. He is not gone he is just away. Rest in Peace, Joe
God Bless Joe and his beautiful family. I really enjoyed golfing with my Fr. Judge classmate, we had a special bond being Crusaders. I always laughed when Joe would make up a new rule on the last hole of our friendly competition to win. Wish Joe could have made our 50th Judge Reunion but believe me he was there in spirit and in our thoughts. Joe always had a nice smile, always happy to be around his friends as we were around him. Mare, you have a great family and friends who will be there for you. Don't ever be afraid or hesitant to call on us.
So so sorry for you but I know Joe is looking down on all of us with that great smile of his.
Sincerely,
Den & Pat Morgan
Mary Ellen and family...........Joe was a exceptional man. we worked together for many years and I never heard a unkind word towards him. Time and distance separated us all but I will always be grateful for his, and your, friendship
I am so saddened Mary Ellen & will be sending heartfelt thoughts & prayers for you & your family. Joe always made our work days together so much more fun & was so respected by his customers & industry veterans. The industry has lost a true salesman & gentleman. He will be missed & always remembered. ❤️

Our industry certainly lost another legend and gentleman in the loss of Joe Long.
Sometimes I think I purchased products from him just because he was so damn nice.
He never had a bad word to say about anybody and that smile that just made you think you were the most important customer in the world.
Every time I spoke to him the conversation always turn to his beloved MaryEllen.
The love he had for her was like something in a novel.
The sun rose and sat with her.
What a beautiful relationship they had.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
I’m sure he’s looking down from us from that big chaise lounge in the sky.
And yes with that smile.
Joe Long was a Legend in the Rep world. He was a professional Rep for his lines. But Joe was one of the most fun Reps in the business. We have so many great stories of fun times in Chicago for the casual shows. I can't even list them all here but the memories bring a smile to our faces. Joe also had a heart of gold. He always took the time to ask how you were and how's your family. And Joe had so much pride and love for his family. We would love to hear about all of his kids and Grandchildren. And most of all He Loved his wife Maryellen. Joe was our Friend and we'll miss him. Love, Mark and Cheri Kutsch
I had the pleasure of working with Joe when I started with Parkman Associates in 2004. Joe was well respected and an icon in the furniture industry.
I learned much from Joe, not only about the business, but how he treated and interacted with his customers. He was a kind, big hearted man with a big smile who genuinely cared about the people he was calling on. I’ll always remember the good times we had working together. What I remember most though was Joes love for MaryEllen and his family. He loved talking about his family and his grandchildren and was so proud of each and every one of them. He will be missed.

Sandy and I want to express to everyone how grateful we feel to have Joe’s life cross paths with ours. When we moved here 10 years ago and I started playing golf at Northampton, Joe was very welcoming and made our transition to this area a very positive one. I always enjoyed our time on the golf course and never played with someone who had more games to enjoy some competition. He will be missed but remembered every time we sink a putt for a point. May your memories bring you joy in this difficult time.
