It was a pleasure to know Deborah. She will be missed. She was a proud VTCC Alumna, and an even more proud VTCC mom. My sincerest condolences to the Tillotson family.
Condolences for Deborah Ruth Tillotson (Gable)
Debbie was always my cousin even though she is my moms Niece. I will miss Debbie deeply. She was always so kind and gentle. She had the most beautiful and soft smile. The last day I saw her was another sad day, but she managed to show a small smile and I wont forget it! My prayers and thoughts go out to Danny and Ian, my Aunt Joyce, cousins, Kathy, Cheryl, Jacque, and my mom Ruth. And all others in my family who are feeling the pain of her leaving. I love all of you!
Dan, Ian and Family: Having worked with Debbie many years ago at Lockheed Martin, my wife Sharon and I came to respect her leadership - but more importantly, we came to like her personally. Debbie was an extremely effective Manager/Leader, and made it easy to like her - a combination that's not always in abundance in the corporate environment. We hadn't seen her in several years, as Debbie moved on to tackle different challenges. We remember how proud she was of Ian, and spoke so highly of Dan. Hers was a life well lived, with many impressive accomplishments! We suspect that Ian was her most gratifying! There is no doubt, we feel blessed that our paths crossed with hers, even if for only a few years. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. (Chris and Sharon Holdsworth)
She was a great colleague and taught me much about earned-value. She was a true inspiration. My condolences to the family. She was too young to leave this world.
Debbie was the first person I met when Lockheed Martin split and became "The SI Organization". Over the years we worked together on a team we called "The Fun and Fundraising Committee". Despite her busy workload she always made time to assist with the many community based projects and our fundraising efforts benefited from her input and participation. We also worked on many business proposals that were made better because of her superior knowledge. The picture I've included was the mini-golf team she was on. We created an entire mini-golf course in one of our buildings that was sold off. It was one of many fundraisers Deb was on the committee for. Deb was the whole package - smart, funny, outgoing, pretty. A bright light has gone out way too soon. I am terribly sorry for your loss. Please know that others share your sorrow, if not your pain. I will always remember her fondly.
Sincerely,
JoAnne Hodgson
To the Tillotson Family: Linnea and I worked with Debbie on several programs throughout the years at Lockheed Martin and later the SI and our company XSITE LLC. She was a tremendously gifted engineer and leader but more importantly a beautiful person. She lead others with quiet strength and compassion, and was always the voice of reason during stressful times. She mentored scores of engineers and her legacy will live on in their work. She will be deeply missed by all of us. With Deepest Condolences, Jim and Linnea Rodman
To Deb's family, Please know she loved you all so much! She often talked about family events, graduations, trips, etc. when we worked together long hours on proposals. She was a "rock star"! Always on the ball and so smart. She could forecast a plan and pattern and provide a better solution to the problem we were encountering. She had the best laugh and I loved working with her over all the years. So sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing the video and music for all of us. with deepest sympathy
Heartfelt condolences to Debbie's family and prayers for comfort during this sad time. Debbie was one of the best managers that I ever worked under and even though she was in that capacity for a short time, I appreciated her for being such a nice person to work with. Her intelligence and integrity was evident in the way she conducted business and her compassionate nature leave me with good memories these many years later. I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing.
Dear Dan and family, I just wanted to express my sincere condolences to you all during this time. We're praying that the Lord would comfort you in the days to come. All the best, Sean Ronnenberg & family
I first met Debbie at the YMCA Daycare where my daughter, Stephanie and Ian were in the same class. I also worked with her at Lockheed. She was always so professional and nice and always had a smile. Before I left VF to move to Virginia, she took me out to lunch at the Kennedy Supplee Mansion in Valley Forge Park. She was so kind and generous. I am so sorry for your family's loss. She was a wonderful person and touched so many lives in and outside of work. Love, prayers and peace to the Tillotson family.
Ruth Ann Palmer and family.
My sincere condolences on your loss. I knew Debbie when she was in the VT Cadet Corps. She was a dedicated student, exemplary cadet, and loyal "bud" to her classmates. I know she would have been especially proud to have a son follow in her footsteps on the Upper Quad.
