Anna Cristinzio (Solari)

Anna M. Cristinzio, 101, formerly of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Cristinzio, who predeceased her in 2016.

Born on December 31, 1922, in Philadelphia, Anna was the cherished daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Paris) Solari. She was known for her loving, sweet, and kind nature, and without contest, she was the best pizzelle maker. A traditional mother and wife, Anna devoted herself to caring for her family, ensuring her home was always warm and inviting, and that no one left without enjoying her delicious meals.

Anna’s love story with her husband Mike was nothing short of cinematic. On a night she almost skipped out, Anna decided to join friends and met Mike. Their connection was immediate, and despite his departure to serve in World War II the following day, they promised to write to each other. For 39 months, their love blossomed through heartfelt letters and poems, culminating in a joyous reunion and marriage upon his return.

Together, they built a life filled with love and adventure. They purchased their first home, welcomed four children, and traveled the world—from the pyramids of Egypt to wine-tasting in Italy, and sun-soaked beaches in Hawaii. Their enduring love carried them through 69 years of marriage, raising their family, which includes four children, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Anna lived through significant challenges, including the Great Depression and the heartache of losing her beloved grandchildren, Johnine, Andrea, and Liz. Yet, her strength shone brightly throughout her life. She took immense pride in her family, watching her three sons, Mike, Jack, and Bob, grow into loving fathers, and witnessing her daughter, Betty, become a beautiful mother just like her.

As the matriarch of the family, Anna’s love and guidance will be deeply missed. No one can fill the void she leaves in our hearts as she now rests in God’s Kingdom.

She is remembered dearly by her family including four children, Mike Cristinzio (Kathy Myers), Jack Cristinzio (Marge), Bob Cristinzio (Sina), Betty Cognata (Vico); her grandchildren, John, Tina, Jacalyn, John, Mike, Marisa, Carlo, Marisa and Joy; her great-grandchildren, John, Olivia, Shaelyn, Neil, Ava, Savannah, Jack, Matteo, Michael, Matthew, Maximo, Mason, Marco, JJ, Gabriella, Vico, Alessia, Domenic, and Francesca; and two great-great-grandchildren, Milania and Giovanna.

A celebration of Anna’s life will be held on Friday, October 18th from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 at our Lady of Good Counsel Church located at 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.

Anna, Mom, Grandmom, your legacy of love, warmth, and family will forever be cherished.
