Sandra "Sandy" L. McElroy (Lofgren)

Sandra L. McElroy (née Lofgren), of Doylestown, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024. She was 82 years old. Sandy was the loving wife to the late Charles Wayne McElroy, Jr.

Born on May 3, 1942, in Chico, CA, Sandy was the daughter of the late Lyman Jerome Lofgren and Margaret Marion Nash.

Charles and Sandy were married for over 50 years, and during that time, they raised three daughters. Some of those years were spent living overseas in Korea, Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. She joined the choir, volunteered for Parvee, and worked at the country store, along with making close friendships. In her final years, she was able to see her grandchildren grow into happy, successful adults and was looking forward to becoming a great-grandmother.

Sandy was survived by her children, Michelle Salinas and her husband Cruz, Melissa McGrath and her husband Tom, Sarah "Sookie" McElroy and her husband Roland Mitchell; 5 granddaughters, Sophie (and Steven) Wendt, Abby Collins, Hannah (and Brian) Kissig, Maggie McGrath, and Grace McGrath; sisters, Linda Hart, Karin DeSantis, Barb Gummert as well as many extended family members.
