Diahnn Miller-Hunt
Diahnn Margaret Miller-Hunt of Holland, PA passed away peacefully at St. Mary Medical Center on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Diahnn was born to Richard Bennett Foster and Margaret (Kerr) Foster on August 16, 1937 in Mayfair, Philadelphia. After attending Lincoln HS, Diahnn met James DeVon Miller on a blind date, launching her life journey of love and family
A master crafter with a "can-do" attitude, Diahnn was an inspiration to many. Her endless hobbies, including her recent passion for beading, reflected her ability to dream big. Diahnn was a hobbyist entrepreneur, often enlisting her sons which became their life lesson to develop creativity and independent thinking. Diahnn also worked in different sales positions throughout the years, meeting lifelong friends along the way.
She had an incredible sense of patriotic pride and wisdom beyond her years created through a lifetime of adversity, tragedy and independent problem solving. Diahnn was a Golden Star member of the Order of the Eastern Star, holding numerous appointments, Grand Representative and Worthy Matron.
Diahnn moved to Bonita Springs, Florida with Wes Hunt in the mid 90’s following their wedding in Hawaii. Wes passed away in 2005, and Diahnn relocated back to Holland in 2006 to be close to her family. Most notably, was her amazing ability to hold a conversation (generally with her doing all the talking); always beginning with a story - straying away from it for a while and returning to tell the story’s end.
For Diahnn’s story, she was forever haunted by the tragic loss of her husband James in 1974. The final chapter of her story; she is finally reunited with the love(s) of her life.
Diahnn is survived by Sons James (Sandee), Richard (Vicki), Jeffrey (Christine) as well as 8 grandchildren – James, Garrett, Richard, David, Matthew, Elizabeth, Hayley & Jacob and 2 great grandchildren Gwen & Wes. Diahnn is predeceased by her husband(s) James Miller and Charles “Wes” Hunt, and brother Richard Foster & sister Joan Cunliffe.
