Marcena Coleman (Karlavage)
Marcena Coleman, 78, of Doylestown, passed away surrounded by her loving family September 8, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Coleman for 52 wonderful years, who passed away in 2021.
Born December 11, 1945 in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Marcella (Smulyk) Karlavage.
Marcena proudly worked and retired from Harry J. Lawall and Sons as a medical biller for 30 years. She lost her best friend and husband 3 years ago. Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that John and Marcena are together again.
Survivors include two children, Jennifer Kendrick (Patrick) and John Coleman (Kristy); five grandchildren, Daniel, Delaney (Clemente), Faith, Jake and Kate; and a sister, Joan Ann West (Joseph).
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
