Marvin Deitch

Marvin Deitch, age 79 of Newtown, passed away after a sudden illness, on September 5, 2024. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 40 years, Sheri Deitch (nee Lopano) children: Jami Pennington (Gene), Michael Deitch, Geoffrey Deitch; grandchildren: Emily Carbine (Ryan) and Amanda Scherer (Garrett). He is also survived by his sister, Wilma Kluft; nieces: Barri Kluft, Felice Rosen, Eileen Cagner; nephews: Mitchell Cagner, David Cagner, Matthew Kluft, and Andrew Kluft. He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Clara Deitch, and his sister Iris Cagner.

Marvin was a devoted father, husband and grandfather. He was a true example of a provider and protector of his family. He relished his role as such. He attended NYU after completing his US Army service as a young man. After working for various advertising agencies, Marvin became an entrepreneur and established PMG Services, INC, a direct marketing printing firm in Manhattan. Marvin managed this business as its CEO for 21 years. Through his volunteer work at SCORE, Marvin mentored and encouraged many young people seeking to become entrepreneurs in various businesses. His gentle presence, resilient nature, tenacity and intelligence made him an inspiration to many. His name meant “friend to all” and he was a thorough true friend. He was committed to his family and led with compassion and understanding. Marvin was a patriot and a proud US Army Veteran. He volunteered his time at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In this role, he was able to provide support to families of veterans and was honored to do so. He made many meaningful relationships there. 

A private military graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, 11:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. Please arrive to line up in a designated lane by 10:45 AM. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s hospital or Tunnels to Towers in Marvin’s memory. Please leave your remembrances of Marvin in the virtual guestbook.
