Jason David Myres

Jason David Myres, 51, of Doylestown, passed away September 2, 2024.

Born April 2, 1973 in Abington, he was the son of the late William David and Alexandra (Taylor) Myres.

Jason led an extraordinary life full of adventurous travel, great friends and love for his family. After graduating from Central Bucks West, he headed west to Colorado where he thrived in the great outdoors – in the mountains and on the ski slopes. During that time, he graduated from Ft. Lewis College with degrees in Geology and Spanish.

He then headed south, way south. His career in the oil and gas industry spanned a 20-year period where he resided in Ecuador, Peru and Columbia.  During that time, he made annual treks back home to Chalfont, PA to visit friends and family and share stories of his exotic adventures.  He reveled in his title of cool ‘Uncle J’ to his nine nieces and nephews whom he adored.

More recently, he headed north again, returning to his roots and his family. He bought a home in Doylestown, reconnected with childhood friends and made new ones. A lifelong sports fan, he passionately rooted for his beloved Eagles, Phillies, Sixers and Flyers.

Throughout Jason’s life adventure, from his teen years through the summer of 2024, he had a profound connection to the music of the Grateful Dead, and traveled near and far with friends to see them perform. Jerry Garcia’s lyrics, “sometimes we live no particular way but our own” is a sweet sentiment that reflects how Jason lived and loved throughout his life.

Survivors include three sisters, Stacey Ferguson (Gregory), Kelley Tracy (Bradford), Karen Aley (Steve); nine nieces and nephews, Allison, Benjamin, Zachary, Blair, Natalie, Riley, Bailey, Wyatt, and Rhyse; and eight grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 11:00 am until the memorial service at 12:00 pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jason’s name can be made to your favorite charity of choice.
