Hugh P. Mullan

Hugh Patrick Mullan passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, surrounded by his family at his residence in Chalfont, PA. He was 65 years old. Hugh was the loving husband to Theresa D. McCaul-Mullan of 34 years.

Born April 7, 1959, in County Derry, Ireland, Hugh was the son of the late Gerard and Teresa Kelly Mullan.

Hugh was full of life and you could tell much of what you were in for by looking into his bright blue eyes.  Whether filled with love, laughter or mischief (his eyes were dancing), you were guaranteed a bit of craic. Dulled at times by his valiant fight against cancer, thme ey always brightened when loved ones, friends and family called or came to see him.

He liked to keep busy.  A gifted mason by trade, he could put his hands to any type of work.  Friends and neighbors knew to stop by his shop, aka "the garage," if they wanted something fixed.

He was a loving husband and devoted father.  His love of and pride in Tegan was a sight to behold.  He often said she was his gift from God.

Along with his wife Theresa, Hugh was survived by his daughter, Tegan Mullan of Chalfont; siblings, Sean Mullan and his wife Susie, Alex Mullan and partner Andrea, Philomena McCloskey and her husband Mickey, the late James Mullan and his surviving wife Therese, Brian Mullan and his wife Sharon, George Mullan and his wife Maria, Pauline Cunningham and her husband Liam, Peter Mullan and his wife Karen, Joseph Mullan; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Hugh’s family on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E.
