Samuel Notgarnie
Samuel Notgarnie (Sam) passed away at 73 years old on August 28th 2024 in Warminster PA from Lewy body dementia and Parkinson’s disease. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He survived by his daughter Jessica, her husband Brian and their son Murphy. His step daughter Lisa, her husband Michael and their children, Jacob, Joshua, T.J., Lisa. His twin brothers Benson, and the late Sheldon, his nieces and nephews, his friends and his community and neighbors.
Sam was born in Philadelphia on September 28th, 1950 to his parents, Cecilia and Herman Notgarnie. He graduated from Dobbins Technical High School and then soon after he joined the Air Force. He was stationed in Puerto Rico and Guam. He was very active in the Boy Scouts where he found acceptance and guidance and he really cherished that time in his life. Then he started his own HVAC business, got married, moved to Bryn Gweled (BG) with his wife, Meg and her daughter Lisa. Then soon after he had his daughter Jessica.
Some of his biggest passions in life were his family, Bryn Gweled, the community he lived in, humor, hiking, white water kayaking, camping and skiing. In his younger years he was always heading out to the Youghiogheny river to go white water kayaking with Joyce or heading up to Ricketts Glen to hike the falls with Irv. One of the founding members of the BATONA hiking club. Sam was always quick out help out a family member, friend or neighbor and would service and instal peoples HVAC for free. He was always helping in BG with any work that needed to be done. Never showed anger, never raised his voice. A kind, nice man who just wanted to do good and go on outdoor adventures with loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on September 8th, 2024, 10:00am at the Bryn Gweled Community Center, 1805 Meadow Rd, Southampton PA 18966.
